This old locomotive is located in Veterans Park, 149 N Church Rd., Bensenville, Illinois. It is a coal-burning, steam locomotive built by Alco (Schenectady) in 1922. Equipment like this, which sits in one place as an exhibit, is referred to by railfans as being static.
The camera I used was a Panasonic DMC-FZ50. I then used ACDSee Pro 6.2 to crop the image a bit and boost the contrast. Then I used Macphun’s Luminar for Windows (beta) to apply the ‘Film Noir’ preset to convert to black and white.
