Damn the spirits

they dip and bob

sometimes elated

at other bloody sobs

there is a fillip

of a light

which I see

and then I do glee

then there is a creditor

on a chase

and I simply flee

so upheavals

and downs

are what

makes a

life’s lawn

somewhere

green and lush

at others

brown

and burnt!
