Maria Ayala
I have been doing collage work since 2002. I fractured my left, fifth digit metatarsal bone, and ever since then, I stayed home and worked on collage art. I enjoy working with paper, colored glue, glitter, and stickers.
I also make post cards, bookmarks, and some paintings too. The collage entitled: “My Planner”, was made with sections of my actual day planner. In the top center, you will see a piece I cut out. I colored it solely with nail polish. I let nothing go to waste. I am self-taught, so I have never had any formal training in the visual arts.
The second collage, I like to call, “Perilous Gardens”. I enjoy complex, layered work, that is visually fun, and also inspires thought.
