Inside the McLean Log Cabin Kitchen

At the Appomattox Court House National Historic Park in Virginia, we are exploring the outside kitchen and slave quarters of the McLean House. This building was a log cabin and separated from the main house. Here we are peeking into the windows and doorways looking inside.  It was quite dark with no interior lighting. Many of the interior surfaces were light or white colored to keep it light inside.
