Surrounding Old Fort Niagara North of Niagara Falls in Western Upstate NY are earthen bulwarks that protect the Fort from canon shot and hide black powder and ammunition and even house troops. Along these are long buildings that fed and trained troops and officers. Here is a view inside one of these. It’s fairly fancy with iron candelabras and a timber frame supported roof.
