The Railroad Station at Appomattox

Nearby Appomattox Court House National Historic Park in Virginia is the more modern town of Appomattox.  Here were fought some of the last skirmishes (also in Appomattox Station) of the Civil War by General George Armstrong Custer.  This is a view of the original Train Station in Appomattox which is now used by the town as a Visitor’s Center.
