We are going to look around this small Museum of Natural History at Michigan State University (MSU) in Lansing, Michigan. On display in one area were some wooden barrels and on top of one barrel head was a large circular metal stencil with the fenestrated words “American Beauty Patent Process”. I can find nothing about this company and only assume that they were a printing press company or made patent leather shoes.
