This is exactly the time when the city of Aquileia was one of the largest and richest cities in the Empire on the soil of today’s Italy.

The exhibition presents 61 works from eight Serbian museums, while one exhibit from a private collection.
That would definitely be a very interesting exhibit.
I wish I was there to see the exhibit myself but the pictures that you posted are impressive. I really enjoy your mixture of history and culture presentation. Thank you for showing us a sample of the exhibit.
Thank you very much for this comment .. it means a lot to me when people like my blogs.
You are very welcome marija. I really enjoy reading your posts. They are historical in nature (some of them) which I love to read and learn about. They are also very patriotic and I am also patriotic although more towards my country Canada. But I also regal in the fact that here on Virily there are no borders and that we can all present what is interesting to us and what we think might interest others.
Serbia has a lot of such excavations. Some of them date from the Palaeolithic period, 40,000 years BC Lepenski Vir (6500-5500 BC) and Vincha (5500-3500 BC).
