The Adirondack Museum (now called the Adirondack Experience) in Blue Mountain Lake has many great exhibits from sporting art, canoes and Adirondack Guideboats, Railway cars, to small camping exhibits. Some of my favorites were the “Adirondack Camp” cabins and houses. Here was an Adirondack cabin with birchbark Adirondack furniture, wood floors and ceiling and and lots of windows. They typically had no insulation so could be very chilly. This one was used by an artist.
