Shiva Bronze at the Museum of Fine Arts

This is a Bronze sculpture of the Shiva Nataraja from India in the 1800’s in the St Pete Museum of Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The Shiva symbolizes the Lord of the Dance, instigator of the infinite cycle of creation, life, destruction and rebirth. The flames on the edges symbolize destruction. I like the great lighting with shadows on the bronze.
