Mill Stones at the Old Cade Coves Mill

Next to and near the Old Mill in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee, there was a wonderful zig-zag split rail fence. Near that was a few nice dressed and ready millstones ready for work in the old original Mill there. In the center of the stones you can see the keyhole that helped drive the stones by water power from the overshot water wheel. There is one stone there with a circular pattern chiseled in ready to cut a new millstone.
