Bridge Over the Youghiogheny River in Ohiopyle

We are in the small town (population 57) of Ohiopyle in Pennsylvania. The name Ohiopyle “derives from the word ohiopehhla, meaning white, frothy water of the rapid-flowing Youghiogheny River” according to Wikipedia. Here the old steel railroad bridge runs across the Youghiogheny River from the abandoned train station in Ohiopyle. Now it is a great pedestrian bridge that allows people to walk across to the Ferncliff Peninsula area where there once a great lodge. George Washington passed through Ohiopyle twice with his army in the French-Indian Wars.
