Caryatids at the Ponce de Leon Hotel

In the Great Rotunda Room of the Ponce de Leon Hotel in Saint Augustine, Florida there are eight tall and large carved columns at each corner holding up the 80 foot dome. These are each larger than a person and called Caryatids which are classical robed figures of women carved of solid oak. They are replicas of the Caryatids at the Athenian Acropolis.
