Part of the past history in Savannah, Georgia was the slaves that were used before the Civil War when they were thankfully freed. In several of the houses/ mansions there were smaller brick houses behind them for slave quarters. Many were also two story. Behind the Owen-Thomas house from the 1700’s there was a large slave quarters. Here are a few photos of the interior:
