Well, I’ve been looking through celebrities’ photos for something nice to draw… and then I realised that some of them can look quite different (or sometimes like another person) with different dressing or make up.

Hmm, somehow gwailou sounds Hk cantonese.
it is totally Cantonese, but we all watch HK cinema all the time and pick up on some stuff…
But TW has quite a huge movie industry too, or I’ve been lagging behind?
Taiwan has come a long way, but we’re still nowhere near HK. To be fair, HK is in a category all by itself…
TW is good enough when compared to my country’s …
I don’t think TW movies are that bad… it depends on the genre I guess, some HK movies (especially comedy) are pretty … bleh…
HK excels in action films; nobody can touch them there, not even Hollywood with their obscene budgets can match HK fight choreography…
Yes, I’ve to agree their kungfu movies are superb, but not so much with special effects action movies…
Are you kidding me? John Wu is a fantastic director, and he doesn’t do kung fu, all his films are contemporary…
If you really think about it, why is that? If heard that of all races. Why do races other than ours look the same to us? Just pondering that thought over here..on the west side of the pond..
When you have a limited sample set, everything is similar…
Actually I do think about it too… I used to laugh when people say that… “All Chinese looked alike”, “All Westerners look alike”…
Until there was once when I was watching a movie and I mixed up an actor with one from another movie… and then my sister said, “All Westerners look alike, huh?”
lol. But I do see that in Asians too (especially certain countries whereby plastic surgery is common), the pretty faces just gets more and more alike… :/

Did either of you see that photo of a model an ad agency sent to different countries around the world and asked the photographers to edit her to make her beautiful. The photos that came back were so very interesting. The changes that were made were so different.
Erm, I don’t think I’ve seen that, but would like to.

Yes, and the one from the Chinese … she looked way unlike her … and overly skinny. But it is true Asians (particularly Chinese) have a thing for skinny figures.
