got 8 out of 10. It was a hard one!
Some found it easy, but I think most found it tricky! Thanks for playing 🙂
only 4
never mind – you made up for it with the other quizzes 🙂
I was humming a lot of these in my mind! 8/10.
Funny, I thought you were younger. But I always think everyone is younger 🙂
I’ve been told I look younger than I am. Maybe my avatar looks younger too? 😉
It looks about 6 months old 😀
Hmmm! I’m not even sure if those flowers can bloom for 6 months at a time…
2 out of ten
Oops! I’m guessing this is before your time 🙂
Hi. Norman, I Got 6/10 I Not Know 1977 year Songs. Because Its So Old.
By The Way Nice Quiz.
Well you did well then, Hamza ?
got 5 out of 10 right!
Okay – 5 out of 10! I think it’s before your time 🙂
8/10? That’s ridiculous! I was nearly as ignorant about pop music at the age of 15 as I am now at 65!
It just goes to show that stuff seeps in, whether we know it or not!
It’s a strange sort of seepage then! For one thing I have always found it appalling how most popular singers are so bad at enunciating their words – identifying lyrics is therefore far from easy if you never knew what they were in the first place!
This just gets mysteriouser 😉
It would appear that my maths hasn`t improved a great deal since 1977 – I was 25 then, not 15! Perhaps I can offer as an excuse for poor popular music knowledge that I spent part of that year working in Moscow!
8 out of 10 doesn’t really need an excuse!

9 out of 10.
Great score, Andrew!
I knew I would get an abysmal score…and I was right ! 🙂
Suer you weren’t even born then, Missus! But thanks for trying 🙂
Sure^^
I got 7 out of 10 correct! Great quiz!
Not bad, Mom! Glad you enjoyed 🙂
Got half of it correct
Not bad, Muhammad! Thanks for playing 🙂
Nine out of ten in this quiz.
Impressive score, DPG!
The late 1970s was my favorite era of music.
Only one wrong. Awesome quiz.
Oh, well done, Lena! Thanks for playing 🙂
7/10 but then you didn’t have any Heart, Bowie or Rush in there…
Only Billboard number ones from 1977 – that would be the reason! Well done 🙂
Must’ve been a bad year for music then…
9/10. Guess those lyrics are still in my head. Can even sing the songs after all these years
me too – amazing, isn’t it! Well done 🙂
I’m sorry Norman. I can not participate in this test.
I am sorry, Elenka! I know that the translator cannot translate pictures of text 🙁
Super quiz Norman…6/10
Thank you, lado! Happy you enjoyed ☺
Thank you … Sadly, I had to answer several songs – this is the music of my youth … then I was still young … greetings
😀 Me too! But ‘young at heart’ is more important than the number of years we pile up!
Bravo Norman … I totally agree with you … l’ll be
9/10. Tripped up on one I should have got – Leo Sayer’s song in Question 5. Just didnt register. Great nostalgic fun!!!
It’s hard for these lyrics to register sometimes, when it’s been a few decades! You did well ☺
Got 8, missed the two I never listened to (artists). Happy with that!
That’s good enough! Thanks for taking the quiz, Doc 🙂
Hahayyy… Only Da Doo Ron Ron by Shaun Cassidy punched my nose!
You mean that was the one you got wrong? That was the easiest of all (if you knew it!)
Aye Sir! Precisely because I am not close to his music, Shaun angry and punching my nose!
10/10 that was great
More than great. That’s … incredible!
7/10 I was born in 1998 but I love old music ??
A lot of people born in the 90s say that 🙂 (My daughter included!)
This quiz was a fun throwback. I got 5/10 I think I did pretty good. I recognized several I just couldn’t figure out the title
Haha yeah, I have problem too/ I always mix up title! You did good 🙂
What’s your favorite songs here?
Hotel California. This song reminds me of my dad. I miss him so much
haha that song reminds me of sleeping on a beach in Israel, where they used to play it at 5:30 every morning 🙂
An updated cover … these guys had an album called Punk in Drublic

Great! I love ska and this version really transforms 🙂 Oh and I love spoonerisms too!
Not bad, 6/10
Not bad! Thanks for taking the quiz 🙂
I remember you in rabadaba
Really? I left Rabadaba since they changed their reward system. What was your username there?
Hey Nela. I’m so happy to see you here. Are you still using Baagloo?
I still have an account there but not very active at the moment. and you?
7 out of 10 – that was great fun. More like this please!
You’re amazing, knowing the lyrics of these songs so may years before you were born!
It really is the best music!
9 of 10 — the Bee Gees were my downfall. Does this mean that I rock or that I am older than dirt? Inquiring minds want to know …
Hey, dirt rocks too! The Bee Gees – not my favouritest from the period, but I tried to be broadly representative 🙂 You did well, Howard. I wonder will anyone outdo you!
Dirt was once rocks? This was actually a bit hard because at the moment I was digging through the blues collection at the University audio visual department. I’m surprised there are no 10’s yet. Cheers!
Before they fell apart 😉 I got a few 10’s where I shared this on Facebook – different crowd I guess.
You beat me!
Could be partially luck but also the age thing I hate thinking about too much. Cheers.
