A pub quiz (1)

The pub quiz has become something of a British tradition – four of you to a table, drinks to hand, and a question master reading the questions and giving you nothing like enough time to discuss your answer before moving on to the next one! Also, beware of whispering too loud in case the sharp-eared guys at the next table overhear your answers!

Here is a round of ten “pot luck” questions that might easily appear at a typical pub quiz – you and your three colleagues each have an answer, but which is the right one?  At least here you the get all the time you need to make your decision!

This is pub quiz number 1 – more may follow!
