Australian open may not be as popular as the other Grand Slam events. It is still special as this is the first Grand slam event in a calendar year. It happens in the month of January. This is played on hard courts and needs slightly different skills sets compared to other Grand slam events. In the early days, this tournament was also conducted on grass courts like Wimbledon before they switched over to hard courts. It is also called “the happy slam” or “the Grand Slam of Asia / Pacific”. This tournament can be played indoors in case of rains or excess heat. This quiz was created on 3rd March 2019 and so the answers would be as applicable as on that date. Enjoy the quiz.
