10 out of 11. Should have got 11. I never make mistakes when it comes to grammar (lol)
That is great Grace and thank you for taking the quiz.
Yes I got them all correct.
Great quiz!
You got 11 out of 11 right!
Perfect. You rock!
And you do rock Carol that is awesome. You know what that means don’t you? The more you write on Virily the better your writing gets.
I hope that is what it means. I need all the help I can get. 🙂
I have visited this country several times. She is truly beautiful.
11/11 Awesome and informative quiz that also gives us the opportunity to test our English.
That is great Ellie and like I told Carol it also means that the more you write on Virily the better you get at writing and at English
got 11
but I am laughing about helded. trying to figure out what a past tense past tense looks like!
Well, you know Doc I try to keep to the grammar but something it is tempting to poke something unexpected in there just hoping no one thinks that is the right answer. It is hold held has held
i vote for adding something unexpected! it makes it more fun!
My result 10 out of 11
Got 9. Should have got all. You are now becoming an expert at quizzes despite the edit button not being there.
You know what they say practice makes perfect and for you too, Grace. The more you write on Virily the better both your writing and English get.
I have no problem with my English. You must be saying this because I am not a native speaker. The only reason why errors creep in is because there is no edit button. I post and then see those errors. And by the way it is not ‘practice make perfect’ but ‘practice makes it perfect’
The original quote is practice makes perfect and I am not saying your English is not good but if you do find that sometimes errors creep in as they do for me too then what helps me is that I have Grammarly checking my writing as I write and showing me the errors which I can correct right away before posting
The original idiom as you say could be what you have said but I will never use it as grammatically it is not correct.
Virily is a drop where I can practice my English by the way (lol) Sad part about virtual interaction is one hardly knows how good or bad a person’s knowledge is in any field. The less we assume the better for our souls (lol)
