My wife loves to grow different plants at our rooftop. She has reserved one corner of our roof as her experimental lab. She has number of plants at our roof including different vegetables, flowers etc.
She has number of Aloe Vera plants in different places including open area of stairs. She really loves growing different varieties of plants and my role is limited to carry bags and pots full of soil on the third floor and place where she wants them.
Do you think it is worth spending your some time and grow vegetables if you have spare place to do so? By the way, she uses used bags, old pots and poly packs for this purpose.

I have loads of veggies on my roof top. Like you my husband helps carry the soil, containers and other stuff we need.
Actually I like both plants on the roof top…Great idea
We have no roof deck but I have several neighbors who have a small garden on their roof.

I like the combination of flowers and vegetables. A nice and useful good combination.
