I’ve been trying to catch up with many online jobs I got behind on when I was preparing for an out-of-town guest a couple of weeks ago. Now that the emotional high is over, I’m trying to get back in the grove. I’m rearranging my Zazzle stores and adding headers and covers for my collections and categories. It’a a never-ending job, but I’m trying to get ready for the December selling season.
Today I’ve been trying to add sections to some of my Pinterest boards. The downside of merging boards and making the old boards just sections is that you lose any followers the the old boards had. The upside is that it’s easier to pin new items when there aren’t as many boards to look through. This is especially hard for me since I have both a personal and a business page. I have made some boards group boards that I can pin to from either site. I can only edit them, though, from the site I started them on. I have a lot of boards on each site. If you have a Pinterest site, you may also be considering the ups and downs of merging boards or adding sections. Please offer your opinion on the poll questions below. I appreciate all feedback.
The image shows the sections I created on my Animals Who Live with Us Board on my business page. It is still a work in progress — especially the Zazzle part. I have only just begun to put the products there.

Use Pinterest for promotion of my Virily posts + posts of my first blog, just subscribed to your Pinterest profile!!!
Thanks for following me there. Do you get a lot of views for your Virily posts from Pinterest?
Yeah, it seems to me that usually have a significant number of views from this social network.
Good to know. Thanks for sharing that.
I am using Pinterest to get more traffic for my blog. If I have enough time, I would create new pins for my posts which are not getting enough traffic. I also delete those pins that are not performing well.
Sounds like you have a good plan. I tend to forget about Pinterest most of the time.
If you’re going to be on Pinterest, take advantage of everything that is offered to make finding your content easier. The pinboards did not used to have sections but they have them now so use them. Anything that will help you rise to the top, do it! It is so easy to drown in the Pinterest ocean.
I agree. As I have time I’ve started moving things into subsections.
I have many boards on Pinterest. I really haven’t organised it well
I think I have too many social networks and can’t devote the time to all of them that it takes to make the best use of them.
I do not know this site
It’s for posting images by subject with links and even your referral links if you are trying to market products (but not all affiliates, including Amazon, allow you to post their affiliate links there.) It’s an addictive site. You might want to check it out just for fun.
I am in a love-hate relationship with pinterest, haha.
So am I. As with most sites these days, as soon as you figure it out they change something and you have to redo previous work or add to it.
That’s true. However, it’s mostly a mistery for me. They suspended my previous profile without any explanation why, or how to have it back.
It’s a lot of work to build one’s following there and make it pay off. I have no idea if it’s been worth it for me.
I have only used Pinterest a few times. Not as familiar as you are.
It’s supposed to be the site that brings people the most customers if they sell products or promote a blog. Seems like a lot of work to me with not so much return. Some people have very elaborate systems for posting and pay for apps to schedule posts round the clock for them. I’m not willing to do that yet.
I know of others who have sold items there, so good luck!
I don’t sell as much as I used to, but I did sell an ornament yesterday.
I have never even heard of Zazzle. What is it? How does it work? Educate me!
Zazzle is a print-on-demand site used by artists and photographers for marketing their work. One designs products and puts them into the Zazzle marketplace. As people buy the products, Zazzle creates and ships them and pays royalties to the designers. They also have an affiliate program which designers can join to increase their earnings.
I really know nothing about that site. So sorry.
There’s nothing to apologize for. There’s simply so much to learn no one can know it all. I learn about new sites every day.
