  1. Great post, women have often been put down and today everyone is asking for their personal rights. My view is that we need to treat all with dignity and respect. Women are important and deserve to be valued but as a woman Im also biased.

  2. We do mention the day but its not really being celebrated. (There maybe sales, I believe but not on a big scale)

I believe the day is “born” because of gender inequality in the past, and sadly, its still happening somewhere now. So, I guess I’m for Woman’s day and not so much of Men’s.

    Just my 2 cents.

  3. to be married to a woman as a mother who works a new life ….. I need every day, not just one day of the year ………….. I still love the holidays, and that day my My husband and daughter buy me a symbolic gift

  4. Unfortunately, I do not understand what is celebrated through women’s day. If it’s about equality, its needs become relative… on the one hand, if we want to be equal, then we do not need to be treated differently, on the other hand, male domination is indeed too great on earth.

  5. equality is the hardest word for many people and the hardest action for others. For Woman’s day I always pack my wife’s lunch to remind her how much I care.

  6. From my own perspective, that depends on the country where I live in, equal opportunities are the law and the norm. Maybe society still tends towards sexism, but gender equality is still supported and protected by the majority of people.
In other countries, the situation is different and we should fight for the right of women every day, not just be reminded once a year (common argument, I know, urgh).
I think I made a mistake by selecting “no” to the third question, because I didn’t consider the male chauvinism that takes place elsewhere.
I still think there’s no need for a Men’s Day, we should commemorate and celebrate the facts, the events, the victories, not one gender, race or age group just for the sake of doing so, that’s an end in itself.
Women’s Day should be about recognizing and commemorating the battles for women’s rights and gender equality, it shouldn’t be about women as a gender opposed to men… from my own humble point of view.
