I have to make sure there is enough food out in my backyard to keep the birds visiting. During the winter there are no bugs or insects for them to eat. I have sunflower seeds and peanuts on the deck feeder. But some birds like the woodpeckers, seldom visit the feeders. But with the little suet cages, I can put out suet in the trees away from the deck. This keeps the birds fed and visiting my yard.

It’s great that you feed the birds, I often worry about what happens to them when it’s so cold outside. I can’t feed them in my yard because my cats attack them -.-
Some find food from plants with berries, and most depend on food we put out I believe. Cats are a danger to them. Mine stay indoors.
Feeding stray cats and birds is one way to keep animals happy.
Yes I agree. I keep the deck feeder full at all times. Even in the rain.

Great photo, and I wouldn’t have thought about doing that. Don’t have a yard though to worry about feeding birds at the moment.

I don’t have this, I don’t know if I want to have this at home, for sure lots of pigeons will be feasting in the balcony which means lots of poops after.

We can buy these little packages of suet for less than $1.00.
We’ve hummingbirds coming for nectar from our flowers … that’s all
Hummingbirds are great. I miss seeing them. They will return in the summer.
