Here’s a photo of wild strawberries I took yesterday. You can see both the blossom and the fruit.
Did you know that despite their name, strawberries are not berries? However, bananas and avocados are berries in the botanical sense.
Also, strawberries are the only fruit that has their seeds on the outside.
Another interesting fact: strawberries are a part of the rose family. See my post about wild roses here.

I wish now, that I had listened then! Such is the way of parents and children. There is great wisdom on both sides, but sometimes it is hard to hear over the noise of the day.
This is too often the case, but how much of it just soaked in? I have several skillsets from my parents that I didn’t cultivate at all and in fact did my best to ignore…
The funny thing is the things that sunk in are love of weather technology and of understanding how things work. Gardening, plants and otehr stuff just slipped away.
That’s awesome, you never know when you may need that knowledge!
I would say yes, but the reality is that knowledge slipped away years ago. I can still identify any plant or tree you ask me about, but I use technology to do it now, not knowledge.
Well, at least you know what to use in order to find the information you need.
