There are a lot of bruised and broken women out there; women who have been wounded in one of the most barbaric ways ever – raped by a loved one.
Shocked by the incident and aware of what happens afterwards, these women choose to keep this wound forever buried in and stay silent.
Ours is a society that blames a woman for getting raped, some a lot more than others.
Women who have been bold enough to report their attackers find they get faced with subtle ridicule. They get asked what they were putting on and if they in any way led their attackers on.
Rape is the only crime where the victim gets pronounced guilty and this really is sad.
