Why do most women get pregnant in cold weather?

It is difficult to say anything about statistics in the world because the data availability here is not easy, but in the US and Europe or in various Asian countries, you may be surprised to know that most people’s birthdays take place between July and September.

This is no coincidence, in fact only the United States sees a 9% increase in the rate of pregnant women in December and now science has made interesting discoveries in this regard.

Every creature in the world has evolutionary intuition and there is a certain season of birth and according to research, this trend exists in humans as well. Research suggests that if a pregnancy stays in the cold season, then babies are born in warmer months and resources are more readily available at that time. In US or Europe Often in cold weather movement become difficult in snow.

However, what is the relationship between pregnancy and cold months ? This has been answered and reported in the research, that when the temperature drops, the daytime (sunlight) decreases and the night time increases. Research suggests that in the colder months, men’s sperm are more potent than hot climates, while the daylight is reduced, the reproductive system of women is also improved.

The aforementioned research examined the relationship between season and pregnancy duration and it turns out that the quality of sperm decreases in the summer, while the system of women works also differently.

Scientists says this is not surprising that more women become pregnant during the holidays. There is always enough holidays in US and Europe in December due to Christmas. A map was created in the United States using child birth data from 1994 to 2014 So it turned out that September 9 was the most common birthday present among people and the second was September 19.

In an another study revealed that children whose births take place in the warmer months, on average, they own more birth weight than babies born in the first 5 months of the year, In contrast, women who are pregnant in hot weather are more likely to gain weight in the body.

  1. I was conceived during cold weather, it was February. ? (And I was born in November.)
Interesting research, it makes me compare the human act of conception with that of planting seeds. Most plants are ready to be harvested during the warm season, but have to be planted before. Most creatures “prefer” to give birth when it’s warm, but obviously pregnancy times differ. ?

  2. It is difficult to answer “In which month were your born?” with either Yes or No!

I was born in August, so was therefore probably conceived in November 1951. Was the weather cold at that time in Scotland? Maybe!

Maybe cold weather encourages couples to share bodily warmth, and one thing leads to another!

Incidentally, the title of your post is a bit alarming. It seems to suggest that every time the weather gets cold, most women become pregnant! That is surely unlikely to be true!
