While I am decluttering, one of the biggest challenges that I face is how to handle those unwanted stuff. It’s easy if they are not usable anymore, then I can just throw them away. But when it comes to those items that are still in good condition but I don’t need them anymore.
I always don’t know where I can donate those items. I usually ask my friends whether they want them or not, but most of them don’t. I heard that even if we donate to those charity organizations, they might not need them and they might just throw the stuff away. I visited an orphanage last month and they told me they have too many kids’ clothes right now, and they don’t need them anymore. I just read this online, 40% of all donations end up in the trash (source). So it’s still good to find someone who need those items. But, I have no idea whom to give to now.

I occasionally have the same problems. I give to friends and acquaintances whenever possible.
Very thoughtful of you to reach these books directly to some beneficiaries. Hope you find them soon.
We donate our things to old home
There is a local Goodwill that accepts donations.
We have the same problem, my friend… but I watch on TV what poverty is supposed to be … most often my things end up in the trash bin
