When traffic is gone

With the perennial traffic problem in the main streets here, it is wonderful to see the main avenue with no traffic for a change. It’s not just no traffic but virtually no vehicles because of the implemented lockdown. What contributed most to the clean road in the picture is the banning of public transport. Buses, taxicabs and other public utility vehicles are not allowed to ply the roads otherwise they can get a ticket.

This is a time of testing the patience of man. Work is stopped, travel is stopped and the world seems to be at a standstill. The question is can everyone endure the situation for one month? The plan for the lockdown is until April 14 and it may take a heavy toll on the citizens of our country. But maybe the government has something inside its sleeves, so to speak. Let us wait and see.
