Love ItLove It

When the smiles pasted on

If the sound of the breeze changed

stopped moving the wind chimes

leaving instead an eerie silence

would it matter then?

in the green that surrounds us

in the forest of the day

there are no tigers here

Mr. Blake.

But then no lambs as well.

Do the trees listen

to the whispers. Evil trees

listening to the sound of

joyful bubbles

rising from the wand

to rise into the air

and popping

leave us wondering

was it the trees.

  • This is a really old poem, is the picture as well?

  1. Love the pome and photo Doc. I like to think about whispering trees. For some reason it has a calming effect when I read these words. I believe in things many do not. Nature is more in touch with us than most realize. Just my opinion.

    • That was the goal. My grandfather and I used to walk, and he would always say listen to what the trees are saying.

It was his way of reminding me to slow down.
