What's on Your Feet?

The house is often very chilly and we rarely walk around without something on our feet. I most often wear slippers and I have many pairs. I tend to purchase the kind that can be washed and I wait for them to go on sale. I don’t really care what they look like. I like to be comfortable.

I have sturdy shoes for outdoors as I have very little balance. I often find myself slipping in the snow and ice and having to get myself back up. That requires some shoes that have traction.

I am short, and have never mastered the ability to deal with heals, so I remain forever short.

  1. I sometimes walk barefoot in the house, but I wear some special slippers with soft but firm soles and with some grip. I have three or four pairs of those .

  2. I have more than three pairs of shoes, but I usually just use three pairs – one pair of slippers for just going to park or walking in front of my yard, one pair of sports shoes for jogging or any sports activities, and one pair of casual sneakers for going out. I still have heeled shoes which I wear them for dinner, but I may only wear them once a year. I am not a shoe lover. I just buy them when I need to wear them or when the old pair is worn out.

  3. I always went barefoot as a child. But not now, I need support on my feet. Very important. I have many styles and kinds of shoes and slippers. Some only indoor, others for outdoor.

  4. At the moment – slippers! Why would you want to own more than one pair?

I have one pair of shoes, one pair of walking boots and one pair of wellingtons. Again – why would you need to own more than one pair of each at a time?

    • There are different surfaces of flooring in my home. My kitchen has a rock floor with drains. It requires a slipper with a sturdy sole. The dining room and bedroom have different surfaces as well. I have winter boots for snow. Perhaps I move about more than most.
