What really matters in life?

I had a hospital investigation today. I had enough time so I watched people and thought. Is it really that important what we have? Are we really only judged by this? What really matters and what doesn’t. My opinion is that it doesn’t matter how much is in our bank account, how many squares our house has, how much new car we have and what hotel we spent the holidays in … What matters is what we bring to the lives of others. Do we bring peace or restlessness? Is there a tension in our presence that we would most like to escape from, or do people (as well as animals) look forward to meeting us? Do we approach them with respect or with our nose up to the sky because we may have created some success and think we are better than others? It doesn’t matter what we have, it matters what we feel in others. Do we evoke warmth and joy? Is it a difficult feeling when people with difficulty find words and have to watch what they say in front of us? We can lose everything tomorrow. If we arouse positive feelings, people will remember long after our departure how they felt in our vicinity.                                   It is up to each of them to decide which of these persons will be.

    • Thank you very much. Sometimes I have a “special” day and I think. I decided to share my thoughts with dear friends, though I don’t do it often. ?

  1. Yes, I do agree with your opinion and I do think about this often.
I believe that gaining all the material rewards in this world will mean nothing if you can’t and don’t help others…

We should always learn to share the blessings that we receive in order to receive more…

    • I totally agree with you. Unfortunately, many people only appreciate material rewards. Too late they realize that this is not the right way to live.

  2. This is a thing that I think about very often. Does our life matter to others or something around us?
Like it or not, in the end, people have to realize the meaning of life, or they can even experience mental disorders because they don’t understand it.

    • I agree. Unfortunately, many people live in “clouds” and find it difficult to accept the meaning of life. Once they land on solid ground, however, they are the “biggest poor”.

  3. It would be wonderful if we all offered peace and love to those around us. None of our material things will go with us when we leave this life, so they don’t matter.

  4. Help others when you can.
Listen to others when you can.

The reality of the world is there are those who pretend and those who are. You are one of those who is!

thank you and yes, I do think about this all the time!

  5. You’ve nailed it. There is nothing more important in life than make it meaningful to self and others. I completely agree with your view. I hate being a source of strife and animosity.

  6. When I feel that I cannot see eye to eye with someone and there is no hope to change the situation I just move on. Less the baggage the better for every one.
