  1. A ‘Virilyan’ gravitates to a ‘Star Trek’ space-man/person theme which certainly caught my attention of the view I tend to read material that’ll pull on my stringy hirsute lip irritatingly. Possibily an occupational hazard condition I’ve haplessly ‘adopted’ as my own for over a decade. Intriguing read and if I can add some scholarly mustard to this delicious ham sandwich… the only possession we truly have is our own cerebral mindset; to influence a few via a blog/article is surely mind-control. Now I’m hedging a bet here, according to most ‘Virilyans’ I guess they want to clone the world to think as one.

  2. My presence in Virily is actually more about getting friends and sharing things and getting things. Thus I always try to visit as many posts and give comment there, whether it will reply or not. I myself always respond to anyone’s comments on my posts, it can even be a long chat for a few days or even months. In recent weeks, due to time constraints or because of the many errors, I have prioritized my closest friends as a priority for me to visit other than those who visit my posts. Basically, I am a writer with a certain theme, though occasionally lately I also post another thing for my participation in some challenge and because of those various challenges, I’ve posted every day. About points, it is just the fruit of all the fun activities.

    • Thank you very much for sharing such a positive perspective, Albert! I see many users who are complaining about basically everything lately (I am one of them right now), but it’s great to see that there are people who find a way to spend a nice time here and to create a pleasant and friendly enviornment.

  3. I have learned by reading the posts of other members, about their countries and cultures, The places where they live and the animals as well.
My posts are a way of saying, “Thanks” for the great from my own country or a way of exploration or research into other topics.
My interests are wide and I long to learn more.
Yes, I appreciate a financial contribution from Virily but it is an opportunity in more ways than one.
I don’t mind if I earn virile from contributing my posts or reading other peoples posts its all one to me.

    • This is wonderful, thank you very much for sharing your opinion, Pamela! I am happy to see that there are people who enjoy the opportunity to share and learn. The payment is a bonus, but in my opinion, sites like this one are mostly for learning new things, for sharing our own perspective, for meeting some interesting people and for having a nice time in general.

  4. What utterly amazes me is how many people savour the few dollars that Virily pays out, for the most gorgeous photography our there! Just imagine how much you would be earning as professional photojournalists!

    • Thank you for sharing your perspective, Lois! In this particular case, from what I have read, it’s not that easy to make money from photos that aren’t ordered by someone. The only exception is for product photos and office-related photos. I have always considered sites like Virily to be for non-professionals, but it’s true that there’s some amazing photography (and writing) here.

  5. Great poll!!
If you haven’t asked, I won’t be thinking about some of the questions here…

I used to rely on views but now I can only rely on my activities … I don’t get as much views anymore… :/

          • Well yes, that certainly is a factor. I am in kind of a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation. I use social media to share all your posts. I do not think they are giving guest views any longer and that makes me sad. It kind of makes it a closed site.

I love to write and this only one of many sites I write on. I write straight from my heart, so it’s very personal. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. I love to learn from others.

You are a great and gracious example.

        • Thank you for sharing your opinion. I was curious what will take the lead: the fact that they are fun or that they are paid better. 😉

        • Thanks for sharing your opinion once again! I agree that if we are here on this site, we most probably are hoping to earn something, otherwise we would be somewhere else. What is also true is that as long as we are not breaking the rules, everyone can choose any approach they want.

        • Now that you mentioned it, I haven’t seen guest views for a while either. I have never had a big audience on social media, but a couple of guest views are always welcome. Hopefully, it’s a temporary issue.
Keep doing what you are doing as long as you find it enjoyable. Thank you very much for sharing your perspective!

        • You too can post whatever you want as long as you are not violating the rules. Your posts are approved and you have your audience, so just ignore messages like that. There’s nothing easier than not reading something you are not interested in. I know that we depend on each other here, but I feel that people in general spend too much time thinking about other people’s content instead of working on theirs. People forget that this isn’t a site for professionals who are hired on an every day job. This is primarily a site to have fun on. It’s not a main job, so maybe we shouldn’t take every little thing too seriously. It’s not worth it to waste our time here for negative stuff. 🙂
