This is a plant I saw in the park the other day. From far I mistook it for a poinsettia but a closer look revealed this to be another kind of plant. does this look wacky enough for this Wednesday challenge? The placing of the bracts and flowers make it look strange , the flowers look like two eyes on an angry face.
I don’t know why but this one reminded me of Red in the angry birds LOL. The thing about this plant is it doesn’t have too many red bracts like the poinsettias. There are just a couple of red bracts on each branch. I also noticed that this plant is very prone to attack by the mealy bugs. I am not sure I would want this one in my garden. Mealy bugs can get very difficult to handle at times.
