What is the purpose of this vein on the wrist ?

Have you ever noticed that often with a specific movement of your hand, a vein emerges on the wrist and do you know what this vein is for?

Whether this vein exists in your hand or not, to know this, keep your palm back on a smooth surface. Now mix the thumb and small finger of this hand and this vein will arise on your wrist. This vein is called Palmaris longus. Experts say that this part of wrist was very beneficial for our grandparents, which helped them climb on trees.

After the evolution of breeds, this sign of ages/grandparents is still present in our body despite that, its use is over. And yes, if this vein is not present on your wrist there is no need to worry. 14% of the world’s population this vein is no longer available on their wrist, as slowly all modern humans will lose this vein with the passage of time.

  1. I’ve heard of this thing and explanation before, and yes, I’m part of the majority of those who have the palmaris longus. ?
I wouldn’t like humans to lose it, perhaps it would be better for us to “start climbing again” from time to time. It must be a fun activity. ?
