Gifts are not the most important thing about the holidays, but they are still a big part of Christmas. I have never been very good at picking gifts, and I don’t like surprises much, but I still find it exciting to pick gifts for the people I love.
I had a friend who always picked amazing presents. What made her gifts wonderful wasn’t their size or price, but the fact that she paid attention to the things I had mentioned and the things I liked. For example, a book I talked about, or a scarf I mentioned I liked.
I am not a big fan of exchanging huge or pricy gifts, smaller but meaningful presents that show kindness and thought make me much happier. What about you? What’s the best gift you have ever received?

I think a friend is the best gift you can have.
This is so true, and sometimes we forget how valuable that is!
I can´t say, I do not know, perhaps I have not received enough gifts…..
Maybe all the gifts you have received are wonderful and it’s hard to pick just one. 🙂
The most precious gift to me was my first laptop. I felt happy to the moon.
It seems that it’s a great thing for many people. It’s something huge indeed,especially since my time in front of the computer has been so limited when I was a child.
Gift shopping is the biggest problem for me, dear Ellie … I have never been very resourceful in choosing gifts

Me too, sometimes I pick gifts I myself would like to receive, but people are different and they may not be excited about the same thing as me,haha.
i much prefer to give than receive gifts. But sometimes when you pull in the ask “best gift ever” i would say I would receive that gift over and over!
When I was 15 my father gave me a Circular Slide rule. I loved that, It is the best gift I’ve ever gotten. I would receive that one 100 times before i would feel it was enough.
That was something that changed everything for me!

I love picking up gift for others. It brings some kind of joy. But I prefer to have some personal touch for each gifts.

I always enjoyed giving more than receiving and I guess I could say the best gifts I ever got were those I received during childhood.
Parents always know how to make their kids happy, or kids’ wishes are simpler.
