Those grandsons really make me learn and think. They saw what I would consider an odd looking critter on the computer and asked “Is that a cryptid?”
“A what?”
“Is it a cryptid?”
“Well maybe, because I don’t know what the animal is in the picture and I don’t know what a cryptid is.”
The youngest rolled his eyes and mumble, even my teacher knows what a cryptid is. Well you can bet your bottom dollar as soon as I got them interested in something else I was off looking for the meaning of the word. I didn’t want to be worse than his teacher.
