When there is a new arrival in a family “everything” changes. It should be a change that is celebrated by the whole family. If there are other siblings, they should be included in the the celebration and feel like they are a big part of the transition and by all means, included. So, as extended family or a family friend how can we ensure that we are cultivating that kind of inclusion?
Bring gifts for everyone. It doesn’t have to be a lot, just enough so they understand they are loved as much as the new arrival.
