Where the light is, there is also the shadow. The stronger the light, the more obvious the shadow is. Shadow is the illusion that light creates. I remember reading this somewhere. Although I do not agree with this statement, I must admit that in this picture, the shadows of the trees seem like illusions on the snow.

I am learning to enjoy the snow for just this reason.
Unfortunately this winter was a snow-free winter. This is an old photo.
I am not happy about seeing snow so far this winter. I am sure we will at some point, it is still early and we have gotten snow as late as May, here.
