The world is crying for water but there is water at the wrong place.
Summer has caused for ‘ice shelves’ as they are called to melt in the Antarctica region creating as many as 65,000 lakes. The floating ‘ice shelves’ some taller that the high rise buildings have melted creating lakes in depressions around, each of the size of a normal swimming pool. There is one that is reported to be around 27 square miles. What does this augur for the world at large is a question that is worrying scientists.
Could this be the reason for floods that we see around?

It’s hard to say if the lakes will freeze. It depends on the weather and climate change.
This phenomena will certainly have an impact on the world’s weather at large.
Blame it on climate change and our disregard for nature and her pristine glory.
Imagine 65000 lakes. I wonder what will be the plight of the world if this water gets displaced.
In Latvia which is northern Europe, the Daugava River which flows through the capital Riga always freezes solid in the winter and people go ice fishing,
And I have received photos of those walking on rivers (lol)
They probably will freeze. Weather is so unpredictable.
What if it rained and the water did not freeze – that could be the cause for floods around!!
