The advice by the authorities in washing the hands to be safe from the covid virus is 20 seconds. That is soaping the hands and making the soap into a lather for 20 seconds. But my take is 2 minutes to further cleanse the hands of bacteria and other germs that might be present especially when you came home from the market.
It makes me wonder why 20 seconds would be enough for cleansing the hands. Why not make it 2 minutes to make sure that the hands are immaculately clean? I guess there is something wrong with the World Health Organization.
