During my visit to Škofja Loka, I also visited a castle where they also have an outdoor museum. In the museum, we see old houses, a mill, an old farmstead, an annual theater, and a Lapidarium. Lapidarium is a special place where old stone monuments or inscriptions carved in stone are collected and stored. Inscriptions on stone monuments can be a great complement to periods when there are no simultaneous written historical sources. The inscriptions illuminate the careers of individual persons and mention or describe in detail the events from the history that other sources do not report about.
