Volunteer Plants – Tomatoes

I love tomatoes, but I don’t ever have to plant them myself, they just grow on their own. This year I had to give away and throw out so many volunteer plants.

Basil, lettuce  and dill also grow on their own in my garden.  Anything in excess becomes unwanted. Thankfully many people took these seedlings from me to plant in their garden.  I am happy to see that these plants don’t go to waste.

The rain has made it impossible for the fruits to ripen so they begin to rot. I have to cook green tomatoes almost everyday. I enjoy it but my spouse doesn’t.

I have been looking up recipes to cook them up in different ways.  Its been fun in a way.

  1. I love tomatoes and this in a salad. I’m thinking about how you can grow tomatoes without planting them. I have to plant new tomatoes every year.
