Vogel lies in the Triglav National Park, in the immediate vicinity of Bohinj. You can reach the lower station of the Žičnica Vogel on foot on organized paths on the north or south coast of Bohinj Lake. It can be reached by public transport, tourist boat or by car, which is parked in the free car park. To the upper station of the Vogel cable car (more than 1500 m above sea level) you can reach with the gondola. At the very good snow conditions is which half of the year (November to May) enables quality skiing on natural snow. In other seasons, Vogel pampered with panoramic rides, with practical starting points for high mountain hiking tours, etc.

We get vogel’s bread in NZ but never knew Vogel was a place until today
The one chance I got to take the bus to ski when 19 I went down to Mt Ruapehu and there was no snow to ski on, and I never got another chance

I used to water ski all summer. One year I was doing a project in Colorado and had to spend the weekend near Denver. A friend said let’s go skiing.
So we did.
I am able to go 10, 12 feet before falling down. It is not the same as water skiing!

12 feet, fall, 8 feet fall, 10 feet fall, 12 feet fall with the last one, take off skies walk to bar, ordered a rum sit by fire and relax.

I agree. No more snow skiing for me. Hot rum drinks in front of the fire, watching people taking lessons – perfect!
