Vitebsk secures road victory against Smolevichy

FC Vitebsk remains near the top of the table of the Belarus Premier League with a 1-0 road victory against Smolevichy-STI (FK Vigvam Smolevichy) at the Stadyen Haradski in Borisov.  One hundred fans braved the coronavirus threat in order to watch Yevgeniy Klopotskiy score what will be a contender for goal of the season on a cracking free kick from outside of the box in the 25th minute.  

The kick occurs at about 1:20 in the video.  Klopotskiy kicked the ball so hard that it dipped to the right.  Smolevichy goalkeeper Aleksandr Filtsov attempted to block the ball with this hands, but the ball deflected off of his hands into the net for the only goal of the match.  Vitebsk had to hold on after they were reduced to ten men after Daniil Chalov received a straight red card in the 55th minute for a karate kick with spikes up given to a Smolevichy player at around 2:05 in the video.  He had the nerve to shake his hand at the referee to only give him a yellow card.
