Visitors at Solitaire

This collage is of birds that visit Solitaire.  They like to come here as they get everything a bird would want in their life.

They have greenery, trees to perch on, fruits to enjoy and last but not the least they have the bird bath specially designed for birds in all sizes.  It is tapered so that the baby birds can also frolic in there

However, as time passes some birds fail to appear and one such is the Drongo who as you know can chirp in several different ways.  Then there is the water fowl. I am missing that too.

I do not know why they disappear. I have no other go but be satisfied with whoever visits us

  • Do you also miss birds that regularly visit you?

  1. We have had birds disappearing here because the pigeons and the crows wont let them be. I haven’t seen a drongo in a while. It used to be a frequent visitor.

    • I feel sad to see them disappearing like this. We had those water fowls pretty loners who would individually come frolic in the bath. Watching these big birds bathing in the bird bath was a joy to see.

  2. It’s really very sad that certain species of birds are disappearing, dear Grace … that’s what I’m wondering …. sometimes it was frogs that the whole orchestra was there tonight … I don’t hear them anymore

  3. The bird species disappearing are the more known species, a local scientist said this about climate change and vanishing species. The bird is host to 89 sub-species like bugs that are only found on and inside a certain bird, (for example), every one of those is in turn, host to or a source of food to some or other major pollinator or some such creature. Some estimates suggest more than 100 species are becoming extinct each day, and there are thousands of endangered species in the world facing extinction, from pandas in China to tigers in India and wattled cranes in South Africa. Some predictions warn that a quarter of all mammals will be lost in the next 30 years.

    • My heart bleeds when I see less and less of species visiting us each year. Even insects I see are disappearing I do not hear those early morning sounds. I have a video on those sounds.

Where are the frogs? We had loads of them.
