Visit to the zoo in Ljubljana – 8

In the Ljubljana Zoo there are quite a few species of monkeys-from the largest chimps to the smallest saimiri. Bolivian saimiri are very sociable animals, since they naturally live in tropics with 45 to 75 members, which occasionally merge into even larger groups. The females remain all the life in the tropics where they were born; the males leave the original troop at the age of 4 to 5 years, they hang out for a while in a group of males and then find a new trop. Relationships in the tropics are strengthened by mutual care of the furrows and removal of parasites, and a common concern for the young. They communicate with each other with facial expressions, body position and crying voices. One of the most famous film fairs is certainly Mr. Ficko from Pippi Longstocking

  1. I saw different monkeys in the zoo nearby. But I couldn’t identify which kind of monkeys the ones that I saw. But as far as I remember, the color of this one is pretty much different from the ones we have here. Those are darker while this one is lighter in color aside from its head.
