In a trip to a province in a camera studio, I learned that an old camera can fetch $10,000 from a collector. Yes, there are camera collectors who buy old cameras. So if you have an old Nikon or Pentax, check out the date and it might be worth a fortune. Our old camera is an instamatic Kodak that we bought in 1998. I guess that is not worth anything yet for now.

I have an old camera used by my father that he bought in 1950 an Agfa Geaverat made in Germany. That is too complicated and has too many features that needs 35 mm film role.
What I have now is my fifth camera. Wish I had collected the older ones. The one previous to this purchase I still have.
I do have a couple of older cameras. Not sure why I keep them.
I have an old box camera – a 616 Brownie Junior from Kodak that was my father’s first camera. I have used it during my childhood. Film is a difficult hurdle these days. It takes great pictures. A very simply designed camera. — If you are interested in these I think there are many available on EBay – they sell for around 20 to 30 USD.
I have a collection of old cameras, I hate to throw them away.
