The gorge was equipped with galleries and bridges for the tourist visit already in 1893. The trails were repeatedly destroyed due to weather conditions .. the paths and bridges fell from the higher areas to trees and destroyed roads and bridges. For this reason, the gorge was closed for tourists for several times, but it was cleaned by diligent workers and repaired the infrastructure. These are our first tourist-oriented troughs, which have also been named for other zones and are protected as a natural monument. At the end of the gorge there is also a pleasant chalet where you can rest a bit and drink a refreshing drink.

I am a country kind of person so this is right up my ally.
Thanks for seeing and kind comment
Yes, there is a place in a remote country area called Marokopa, it is in the Waitomo area. It is not a gorge but a former cave where the roof collapsed. I have been there a few years ago, and taken some interesting photos.
There is no chalet there, as its a very remote place.
Publish post … it will certainly be very interesting
Wish to have a more closer look to this cozy chalet!!!
You come and I’ll show you dear Anastasia
The bridge looks a little precarious.
Maybe it looks a little insecure, it’s just safe, without worry … it looks like it’s wooden because … it’s a metal structure below … metal would not get caught up with nature
Oh, my gosh, Lado, that is so beautiful. I would love to walk there.
Come on, dear friend … I’ll be your guide
You are right, lado, I certainly would not go there alone.
I’m looking forward to waiting for you dear friend
LOL, lado, it may be quite a while. I have been so busy it has been 2 weeks and 2 days since I even had time to visit Virily (which is right in my living room)–going overseas might never happen, although you know I was researching dental “vacations” (just to be prepared for in the future, hopefully not needed)
Everyone I know goes outside of the US for their dental work.
Did I miss you here on Viriliya …. you will never visit Europe? Are you afraid of driving by plane? I also probably will never visit America … I’m afraid of flying by plane … have a nice weekend dear Ann
I like to hike off the beaten path, but that’s just me…
It would be hard to find an unspecified path … it is a very narrow and inaccessible gorge … if I accidentally found it would be too dangerous
I don’t mean your gorge in particular, but woods in general
Walking outside the marked paths can be interesting … on the other hand it is more dangerous
I probably shouldn’t do it, but…
I’ve already visited this gorge
And how did you like it?
Would love to visit this chalet, how beautiful.
It’s really nice here … a real paradise for your soul and body dear Carol
How nice it is to visit with family there.
Sitting for a long time in the chalet to enjoying whats around must also be fun.
After 1.8 km of walking, a little rest and a warm drink … must be brought back
1.8 km is relatively close but in a cold place like that, warm drinks are very important!
For me, that’s enough … and back dear friend
Maybe because I often jog then that distance is rather ordinary, but at low temperatures… hmmm… it must be out of ordinary!
You have enough fitness then … I’m more slow … I do not even know if I can still run
It is beautiful, and I am glad they opened it back up. What a great walk that would be, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for seeing and kind comment my friend…It’s a long way to go … in one direction it’s almost 2 km
That is really beautiful. I would love to go there.
