View the Blejski Vintgar gorge-1

The Bled Vintgar, also Vintgar itself, is a 1.6 km long Gorge Gorge in the immediate vicinity of Bled through which the Radovna River flows. The trough walls are 50 to 100 m high, and the height of the slopes is 250 m. In the gorge there are jumps, pools, rapids, dredges and other corrosive forms of water activity. At the end of Vintgar the 13-meter waterfall Vintgarski Sum is falling over the threshold. The path is very diverse and is equipped with galleries and bridges. At the end of the gorge, the dam is for the Vintgar hydroelectric plant. Korita crosses the railway line Jesenice-Most na Soči. The railway bridge in the Blejski vintgar is the largest fully preserved stone railway bridge bridge in Slovenia.
