The Veterans Day National Committee recognizes select Veterans Day observances throughout the country that represent fitting tributes to America’s heroes serve as models for other communities to follow in planning their own observances.
The Veterans Day National Ceremony is held each year on November 11th at Arlington National Cemetery . The ceremony commences precisely at 11:00 a.m. with a wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns and continues inside the Memorial Amphitheater with a parade of colors by veterans’ organizations and remarks from dignitaries. The ceremony is intended to honor and thank all who served in the United States Armed Forces.
Large trucks bring thousands of live wreaths to place on the tombstones and monuments located in Arlington Cemetery. Volunteers line up every year to obtain the wreaths and placed them accordingly.
We must never forget what our brave veteran’s have done for our country. How many lives they fought for, gave their own lives, to save ours. Today we honor them, we honor all of the veterans. My Dad was one of those brave soldiers.

It is a sad but surreal photo and reminder of those who gave all.
We also have a veteran day which is commemorated on August 10, but on November 10, we commemorate Heroes’ Day whose theme is more similar to that of veterans in your country.

The way they commemorate and respect them is only different because we have a different history, right?

Today, we are celebrating the end of the First World War – even with us, they laid wreaths on the war heroes that fell in the war
Good for you. These wreaths are also for Christmas. Flags are placed on each grave. Thousands of graves honored.
It is a special time and it honors the people currently serving, those who served and died for us, and the families of the noble military personnel. I never met one of my uncles, my mother’s older brother, who died in WWII. My grandfather was a sharpshooter and pro marksman in WWI. I’m proud to have served during the Vietnam era.
